One of the most vital things that I have learned through my research is the importance of globalization and interdependence among countries. Before I embarked on this course, I used to be a proponent of protectionism which is the opposite of globalization. My argument was centred on the fact the rapid globalization would result in the death of the local industries since it would bring with it competition for the market with the local industries.
