Instructions: Must use 3 criminology theories that focus on socioeconomic issues. Must be at least 3 credible scholarly sources from websites. Construct your own theory building on the research of three theorists that focus on socioeconomic structure and crime. Describe the relationship between these different theories. How is your theory different, or the same? If a juvenile is a member of the lower class does it predispose that person to a life of crime? What risk factors does your theory address? Several theories have been advanced, trying to shade light on socioeconomic set up and crime. However no single theory has exhaustively explained this phenomenon and how the factors that give rise to crime are interconnected. Crime can be termed as unlawful conduct and can be punished under law. It affects the economic and social wellbeing of a society and it cripples several functions of the government. From the three theories that have been used in this research, it is evident that some factors can be borrowed and be applied by other theorists. On the other hand, other factors considered by other theorists as causes of crime can be disputed e.g.  Lombroso says that creatures that didn’t fully evolve engage in criminal activities. In respect to this, it will be hard to completely explain crime and factors that give rise to it.
