Having a dress code helps to identify the institution in which a person belongs. For high schools the dress code is important because it enables students to be identified. When students walk around and there is a reason why knowing his or her school is important the dress code will quickly make his or her institution known. Not only that, but the dress code is important to ensure uniformity in school. Without a dress code rich students would wear fancy clothes which will make poor students look down upon themselves.
