This study looks into how a manufacturing company applied gain-sharing reward system and performance assessment in a fifteen-year period to get strategic change within the company. The study makes an observation of the impacts of the reward system as well as the limitations therein. Upon complexion of the study on gain-sharing reward system, the company concluded that the system was not appropriate under the highly competitive business environment. Finally, the company adopted team-based reward system. This study is appropriate in selecting reward systems since it includes how the reward systems are to be tested.
