You need to read this and make it your own, this is from a classmate and so you need to avoid any plagiarism. Just summarize it in about 150words

The preschool classroom I observed has individual cubbies with each child’s name on it.  There are three tables, which are used for breakfast and lunch. A teacher will sit at each table to talk with students and model eating.  The classroom centers included a library corner, dramatic play, art, blocks, and computers.  There is a schedule of what the day will look like demonstrated with picture cards velcroed on the front board at the students’ eye level so they will know what’s coming next.  In all the centers there are labels with pictures and language for students to understand where things go when they clean up.  They are also starting to recognize object names as a result.  Students have name cards on the board that they move to the “I’m here spot”.

During circle time kids are listening to songs and dance according to what it’s telling them to do.  Afterwards, the teacher will hold up a bird with a student’s name written on it.  Students will learn to recognize their name or the teacher will say it and the student selects a job on the job tree.   The jobs are displayed using pictures and their title.  The student uses language to tell the class what it is (sentences are encouraged).  Next the weather helper declares the weather by telling the others and selecting the corresponding picture.  Calendar helper then puts up the date and announces to the class the day of the week, month, date, and year.  Rules are also demonstrated with pictures and words for better understanding.

Children are allowed to choose a play center of their choice.  During this time I can really her the students’ language as I made my observations.  I heard some children demonstrating consonant reduction, for example the name “Blaine” would be pronounced Baine”.  The “l” sound was one I noticed gave several children a hard time.  It was pronounced with a “w” sound instead if not taken out altogether.  One child said “mik” instead of “milk”.  “Grilled” was said without the “r” sound.  Other consonants that were phonetically switched out were “w” for “r” and “d” for “t”.  “Nothing” was pronounced as “nofing”; excluding the “th” sound.  The consonant reduction and substitution are two simplification processes that children may use due to a language or speech delay (Piper, 2012).  I overheard the question, “Can you tied it?”  You see that the past tense form of the word tie is used incorrectly in the sentence.  The past tense form of tie being used is normal at this age and will more than likely work itself out because children at this stage are not necessarily concerned with using the correct form (2012).

The teacher reads a story out loud providing an opportunity for children to hear words they may not have heard before.  To better engage the children in the story they are asked to make predictions about what will happen next.  As the teacher reads, she points to the pictures that the words reference as to make a clear meaning between the words and object.  During play time children mainly played independently side by side a friend or with very little interaction between two or more friends.  I did observe some sharing and also children using their hands to push a friend out of their way rather than using their words.  This is all typical behavior at this developmental stage.

I observed a preschool with individual cubbies on top of them been the child’s name. Around the classrooms, there are three tables commonly used by teachers for breakfast, lunch, and the other table is used by teachers for modeling and eating. The classroom centers are occupied by a library corner, dramatic play, and some electronic machines such as computers. For the school programs to run smoothly there are timetables all over the school with them some cards to indicate what must be done within the right time
