There are several differences between general clause and comprehensive clause contracting. General clauses are the legal rules which have not been precisely formulated. A good example of a general clause is §36 of the Contracts Act which empowers courts to put aside any agreed provision for different cases (Wood, 2011). On the other hand, comprehensive clause provides protection against most risks involving third party liability. A good example for this is of a car insurance policy.
