Voting is one of the most profound aspects of a democratic world. Voting is done to elect political leaders and is at the core of democracy as it allows people to decide on who they want to run their affairs on their behalf. However, democracy can only hold if the voting process is free, fair and transparent. Also, all members of the society must be engaged in the process (Larsson, 2001). This means that the voters must be let to decide on their own without intimidation or any other influence; and the results and the process to be designed in a transparent way without secrets and malpractices.
