Several factors contribute to disengagement and activity in later years.  Employees might be disengaged due to mislead about the nature of the job.  Employees might be given different ideas about the nature, roles and responsibilities of their job positions which might lead to disengagement. Lack of recognition might also be a contributing factor. Employees usually long for a sense of recognition and appreciation for whatever good thing they do.  If employees do not receive incentives from the organizations that they work in, they usually decide to transfer to another job (Hochschild, 2012). Illnesses might also contribute to disengagement.
