The court was established by the Rome statue late in 17 July 1998. It was established after some cases became popular such as genocide and some countries were unable to handle them. For this reason, all nations came together with the assistance of American government to establish the court. The court is popularly known as the ICC. The court entered into force in 1 July 2002 when all nations came in to agreement that it should be passed (Driscoll, Zompetti, & Zompetti, 2013). The establishment of this court has solved some problems which had rooted in many countries because leaders used their powers to misuse the citizens.  The Rome Statute is a global treaty which binds those states which officially expresses their consent to unite by it provisions.
