I chose to use the anecdotal technique to observe the girl child after watching the video, physical development in early childhood. The main reason as to why I chose this observation technique was because the method is just like story telling, and does not have any rules that dictate the manner in which it should be done. Additionally, the method gives an account of interesting events and incidents that are amusing in nature. The incident of the two children playing football is an example an amusing event.
