Review the following 2011 PEW Internet and American Life Center report (also available in the recommended readings): http://www.pewinternet.org/Reports/2011/HealthTopics.aspx. Based on the report, choose the three most important research findings that health administrators must recognize and act upon in order to be responsive to today’s healthcare information seeking consumers, and justify the selections. Assess potential healthcare disparities or digital divides that may exist among various population groups. Explain how healthcare administrators can demonstrate cultural competency and promote diversity in the dissemination of healthcare information via the internet.

Download and read the following case study on Regional Health Information Networks: The Wisconsin Health Information Network:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2247949/pdf/procascamc00001-0403.pdf In a well-written paper: •Describe the challenges that drove the need for a Regional Health Information Network (RHIN). •Assess the process used to approach the sharing of patient information. •Analyze several key challenges faced in achieving long-term viability, broad participation, and financial sustainability. •Describe some of the key use cases that were considered and explain why they were chosen. •What challenges were overcome and how was this achieved? •Compare this case study to one of your experiences and describe what you would do differently. Your paper should meet the following requirements: •Be 4-6 pages in length, not including the title and reference pages •Cite 3-5 references. The need to transfer information relating to patients led to a requirement for the adoption and the implementation of improved systems. This led to the development of information networks that could be used by different stakeholders in the medical field. The current paper seeks to conduct an analysis of the application of the Regional Health Information Network in the medical field.
