Describe an example of how you use the scientific method in your daily life. Which observation(s) lead you to use the scientific method? State a good hypothesis, how you are testing the hypothesis (the experiment), results and conclusion. What are the control and treatment groups in your experiment? In demonstrating how to apply the scientific method in daily life. I will consider my sister’s attempt to teach me how to make fries. Fries at the cafeteria are a beautiful yellow color, very crunchy and well-cooked while my own are burnt or uncooked chips. My sister told me to half-boil the potatoes and cook the fries for half the time (5 minutes). However, I knew boiling the potatoes first would make mashed chips while cooking longer(10-12 minutes) allowed the chips to yellow. I researched and experimented with different recipes and realized I was using too much heat while deep-frying. Eventually, I concluded that fries ought to be cooked over low heat…………….WORDS 256
